What is System of Skating™?
SOS™ is a comprehensive, structured approach to understanding the fundamentals of figure skating. The SOS™ principles include alignment, counter-balance and core rotation. These principles facilitate the incremental development of skating skills from basic to advanced.
SOS™ is universally applicable to all students, and unlike other corrective coaching feedback, it is not based on what the skater is doing “wrong”, but instead reinforces an understanding of what is “right.”
“Adults are the most passionate and dedicated skaters out there--they challenge me to be a better coach because they are always curious to know why.” -Mimi, Founder
